November 2011... I'm Martin Davies,and have played nearly 2000 gigs in my time on the UK Rock n Roll,R & B and Blues circuits,Including 11 years with Colin Paul and the Persuaders...) and am now bass guitarist for The Shakers..Liverpools no.1 merseybeat/Beatles band,enjoyed a mad 2010 as the resident band at the world famous Cavern Club in Liverpool on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday nights! 2011 has been brilliant so far as The Shakers continue to perform to hundreds every weekend. I play Fender Jazz, Hofner violin basses live, but must admit to having 14 or 15 others lying about the house! The Shakers played The Mathew Street Festival in Sept 2011 to 18,000 people and have performed at The Liverpool Echo Arena as part of John Lennon's 70th birthday celebrations to 10,000 in December 2010 as well as rocking The Cavern every weekend.
